A word from the Little Man and a few from me…

Thought I’d share this recent conversation:

Jake: Mom, I’m wearing my spider ring because it gives me superpowers and when I want it to, it lets me think about Wall E.

Me: Hmmm, does it help you clean your room?

Jake: Well, I don’t wear it all the time.

And now I have to admit, I am a meme-virgin. Bear with me.

1 ) What was I doing 10 years ago?

Well, I was working in the same place I am now, managing a smaller group though. I was married to the same man, and we were planning a grownup vacation to the Cape. So there’s nothing to see here folks. Keep moving.

2 ) What are five things on your to-do list for today?

• Coach a new supervisor
• Get some technical writing done
• Go for a bike ride
• Work my arms
• Avoid the chocolate at my desk

3 ) What snacks do I enjoy?

This question is making me hungry! Let’s see, I’ll try to list in order of importance.

• Homemade Lady Finger popcorn, shipped specially to me in 50 pound vats from a little farm in Kansas. I get serious as a heart attack if you mess with my popcorn.

I must be a freak of nature. I’ve lived in three cities, and only had three jobs.

• Greek salad maker-girl
• Engineering clerk (eeewwwww – too many pocket protectors there)
• Clinic manager (I’ve held several positions at the practice – does that count?) Is it sad that I’m such a young flower and have worked in the same place almost 20 years? You could say that I’m loyal.
