Honey, where are the keys to the Cessna?

I admit I watched it. Actually both episodes of Oprah’s TC celebrity love fest. I couldn’t look away. If you missed it and need a quick recap, just check out this little ditty by Miss I Am Bossy. That could possibly be one of the funniest blog posts I’ve ever read. Ever.Normal. NOT!

So Michael walks through the living room just in time to hear TC describing his perfect day. It involved frolicking in the mountains, riding motorcycles, a trip to the beach, and of course a quick little flight in the private plane. At which point Oprah excitedly interjects, “they’re just such a normal family.” I mean.

I really don’t have a problem with anyone being able to do all these things in one day. Really. I’m all about live and let live. But please people. Let’s not be delusional. Let’s call a spade a spade already. Or else call us an “abnormal” family.

I couldn’t bare to watch it. I thought about it and then thought to myself, “I really don’t care.” and made a conscious decision not to hit record. I did watch the Barbara Walters interview tonight. I find Babs so fascinating. I don’t know why. I might even read her memoir now. Or I’ll get it from the library, let it sit on my nightstand for three weeks, then I’ll have to turn it back in.

I guess we’ll sit on the “abnormal” family couch with y’all. Jeez.

I agree, I Am Bossy is down right hysterical.

    And for TC, well…yea….

I watched ir, too. It happened to be on the TV and there was not a thing I could do about it.
    Pretty much.

And is it my imagination (and the rest of America’s) or does Katie seem somehow de-personified of all personness?

Uch. I couldn’t stand to watch past Oprah’s “normal kitchen” comment. And the personalized shearling clogs for Oprah in her very own cubby made me want to vomit. You’re so right — let’s get real.
